TMJ/OCCLUSION
(The Bite)

The
health of the jaw joints (TMJ) is directly related to the
occlusion (bite). Because of this intimate relationship, a
dentist who has a knowledge of this is the one most often
responsible for helping a patient with joint noises and/or
pain.
The TMJ
is the most complex joint of our body. Problems with a TMJ
are most often multi-faceted, given the demands of function
for that joint. A knowledge of physiology, function, imaging,
and how to examine is essential for diagnosis.
The
best treatment plan for a patient does not happen by accident.
It is developed from a comprehensive examination, an evaluation
of x-rays and diagnostic casts, and years of ongoing education
and experience. This thoroughness provides options and allows
our patients to make decisions for treatment which are appropriate
for them.
Robert
E. Friedman, D.D.S.,
Dental Commissioner,
Connecticut State Department of Health.
"I
can vouch for the fact that Dr. White is a relentless student
of dentistry ... I know his interest, his vast knowledge,
his competence and integrity...I can attest to his digital
skills ... he is an excellent dentist ... I know he would
be an asset to the dental community of Nevada ... your gain
would be Connecticut's loss."

Alan
A. Brugg, D.M.D.,
Greenwich, Connecticut.
"Dr.
White is among the finest practitioners in our community...
his technical abilities far surpass the average practitioner
and his care, compassion, and concern for all his patients
is without reproach ... I can think of no other dentist as
dedicated as Jim."
